Explosion in Taiwan – A Study in Undecaquartisextiles

Please note: In 2015, long after I wrote this article, my understandings of the quindecile, a 24° aspect, were born out of the new–mathematically accurate–name for the 165° aspect, now called undecaquartisextile. Please read about the Undecaquartisextile as its related aspect patterns which can be found in the Pluto – Full On series. You’ll find the Pluto – Full On series under the subcategory of Undecaquartisextile, located in the Feature Articles tab. Thanks for your patience with the modification of the name.

I didn’t expect to write on news today, but an explosion at the Formosa Water Park in New Taipei City tonight has sent more than 200 people to area hospitals with injuries ranging from mild to more than 80 of them seriously burned over 40% of their bodies. That demands a look as brief as this is.
Taiwan - Water Park ExplosionThis appears to be an explosion and fire caused by the heat from stage lights and a flammable powder spray. According to the news, the park was hosting a Color Day Asia event that went terribly wrong.

Taiwan water park explosion: More than 200 people injured as ‘mystery powder’ sparks blaze

Uranus-ruled Aquarius on the Ascendant opens the Western dominated chart with a second and third quadrant emphasis and no above- or below-the-horizon focus. The Sun-Mars conjunction, however, sits on the 6th house cusp, pointing to the likelihood that this was an accident with very bad timing in light of yesterday’s three-continent ISIS-related attacks.

Talk about a study in undecaquartisextiles! With so many in play, it actually offers us an opportunity to study these aspects as well as seeing how the situation was being handled immediately following the explosion. Every aspect carries the potential for a positive or negative response. In this case, the undecaquartisextiles were employed with a positive result in mind.

Mayor Eric Chu quickly assessed the situation and worked through the Mercury-Saturn 44-minute partile undecaquartisextile while working to keep order through closing the park at once–a clear reference to the 59-minute partile quincunx Mercury was simultaneously making to Pluto in the 12th. The Moon in Scorpio was making another undecaquartisextile, this one to Uranus, at the same time Mars made yet another to Pluto, both of which addressed shutting down the park as the responsible thing to do. Jupiter established one more undecaquartisextile to Neptune, and both Venus and Jupiter still another to the Ascendant! These last three undecaquartisextiles offered Mayor Chu the opportunity to use a positive approach in the midst of a very intense situation, and he worked with the thought we see in Pluto’s ultimate end goal–for the good of all–and an across the board “these rules apply to everyone” handling of the situation. It would appear he did well. Surely this was a lot for anyone to handle in the midst of such chaos!

Hopefully this was a good call on the part of Mayor Chu and the rest of his team, and all lives will have been saved in what could have been an even worse situation. What a way for them to close a day in Taiwan! Now the deeper investigation can begin.

Namaste, I love you.
