That’s the Federal Bureau of Investigation, not Facebook!
In a district Federal Court this afternoon, New York State Senator Tom Libous, second-highest-ranking Republican senator in the state, was found guilty of one count of lying to the FBI when he was accused of attempting to use his position as a state senator to get a family member a job.

The Western 3rd quadrant above-the-horizon dominance points to the jury in their making the decision as part of the judicial process. Sen. Libous will lose his seat in the New York State Senate as a result of the felony conviction. He faces up to five years in prison to wind up his 14-term career as a New York State Senator.
One can’t help but see the correlation to the Cardinal Grand Cross with transiting 2nd house Pluto in opposition to 8th house Mars, both of which are squaring the 11th house Moon in its opposition to 5th house Uranus. As I recall, the court decision was based on his effort to help his son to get a job. (On a side note, his son was convicted of tax fraud earlier this year.) Take note as well that Pluto and Mars are intercepted in this chart with the Sun–conjunct Mercury–in the last 19 minutes of Cancer, an anaretic degree.
The more I see the Sabian Symbols and how they relate to current events, the more impressed I become. Lynda Hill‘s 360 Degrees of Wisdom: A Sabian Oracle (©Lynda Hill 2004) has been a godsend for bridging the gap in my understandings of these symbols, and once again, I’m seeing these as if a lightbulb has been turned on. (Thanks, Lynda.)
At the first Sabian Symbol, in the sidebar, I had to laugh at the following quotes Lynda had offered. Talk about perfect timing to see these!
“Jury: Twelve people who determine which client has the better lawyer. Robert Frost
“He is no lawyer who cannot take two sides. Charles Lamb
“The margin is narrow, but the responsibility is clear. John F. Kennedy”
Mercury sits at Cancer 29 in the 8th house of the chart, offering the wisdom of the jury–A GREEK MUSE WEIGHING NEW BORN TWINS IN GOLDEN SCALES–while the Sun at Cancer 30 offers A DAUGHTER OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION. Certainly Senator Libous had been what Lynda’s commentary had described as the expectations of voters who chose Libous as “someone who stands for and is a product of change. [She] has promoted and adopted the changes that the ‘Revolution’ sought to achieve.”
And finally, what had initially struck me in the years leading to Pluto’s ingress to Capricorn, Pluto’s current position at Capricorn 14, AN ANCIENT BAS-RELIEF CARVED IN GRANITE REMAINS A WITNESS TO A LONG-FORGOTTEN CULTURE. Now perhaps this one won’t strike you as immediately as the others did. But I thought about it and realized the structure and laws of any nation are going to provide the strength of that nation, offering solid foundations. If we are allowed to ignore that structure and the laws, we ultimately destroy the very foundations on which it is built. In this sense then, this symbol reminds us that we must always remember how important the structure is. For any of us to lose sight of it invariably will weaken what we have built. This will be true regardless of whether we are supporting that structure immediately following its creation or two centuries after.
This is the newest of what has become a fairly lengthy list of crooked politicians who have tried to wield their power bestowed through their offices (I can think of at least four from the New York State Legislature) and met their comeuppance in the last year alone! That’s not including the several employees in the state prison system who were dismissed or arrested for their parts in assisting prison escapees Richard Matt and David Sweat. But why would I feel the need to point out the obvious? You know, this is a bit like standing in a room full of…well…
This goes all the way back to my warning in April 2006 when I first analyzed how I saw the Pluto ingress to Capricorn as a time in which corporations, governments and politicians would need to be held accountable for their actions. (No worries, dear reader, I’ll be uploading all of the files starting in the next couple of weeks.) And as Pluto has rumbled through this Saturn-ruled sign of Capricorn, sure enough, we’ve seen politicians from the lowest to the highest rungs of the ladder reach their peaks and come falling down the hill like Jack, with poor Jill following close behind.
We can try to justify the actions. But sooner or later, Pluto is going to level the final call, and it’s not going to matter whether this planet of transformation is trining the Midheaven (MC) or not. Remember, if this is the court of law as it was today for Senator Libous, that trine to the MC will be likely to show through delivery of the verdict at that time. Those who have taken the shortcuts are really unlikely to appreciate the results any more than State Senator Thomas Libous did today.
I think the classic no-duh moment came today when I heard Senator Libous (Enjoy it, Tom Libous, because that crown has tipped and is in the midst of falling off.) on tonight’s news, replying to a reporter who asked his reaction: “Well, it’s the system. I play by the rules, and I’m going to play by the rules.”
Okayyyy, Senator Libous, keep telling us that. Take care of your health now. You’ve got plenty of time without your Senate seat to interfere.
Namaste, I love you.
