This is a quick news blurb I can’t put off. My plate is full, but there’s just too much to ignore here.
Several are dead in Miami at this hour as a pedestrian bridge installed less than a week ago–on Saturday–collapsed. At least eight vehicles have been crushed, at least five people are in the hospital, and early reports are indicating multiple fatalities.
On to the chart for a brief look.
Chiron, conjunct the MC, sits at the 24-minute partile opposition to its antiscion at the IC of the chart showing the bridge collapse. The earliest tweet I saw was showing to the Miami Herald and was posted at 1:56 PM, which was the time I used for this analysis. But take note because Chiron is also forming a 46-minute partile square to Mars in the 6th house while transiting Saturn moves in on the Descendant. At the same time, 9th house Neptune at 14 Pisces 21 has its antiscion at 15 Libra 39, in opposition to 10th house Mercury (conjunct Venus in the chart) at 13 Aries 22. But the placements of Mercury and Neptune are forming another semisextile that resolves in a Blooming Undecaquartisextile at 28 Virgo 51.5 in 44.5-minute partile opposition to Chiron and a 1.5-minute partile square to Mars. I stop short of calling this a partile T-square since the undecaquartisextile point is a highly sensitive point but an actual physical body isn’t there at this time. Still, we can’t ignore the obvious in such a placement.
A Blooming Undecaquartisextile also forms from the semisextile between the Sun at 25 Pisces 06 and Uranus at 26 Aries 37, resolving at 10 Libra 51.5 in a 1-minute 30-second partile opposition to Venus, implying a wish to create what a local observer had called an instant bridge for students to traverse a dangerously busy street moving under the bridge. It was scheduled to open in 2019. It would seem reporters now might be calling this a “dangerous instant bridge” officials had hoped would create a safer environment for up to 40,000 students to cross to the Florida International University campus.
The transiting Moon also comes into play with its antiscion falling at 26 Libra 00, forming a 37-minute partile opposition to Uranus, which also brings the placement of that Mercury/Venus conjunction into closer view with its obvious square to the Ascendant (39-minute partile from Mercury to the Ascendant) and from the Venus side in square to Saturn within a 2°38′ orb.
Local 10 News wrote, “FIU officials previously told reporters that the bridge was being built using Accelerated Bridge Construction methods. The university said the modular construction method reduces potential risks to workers, commuters and pedestrians and minimizes traffic interruptions.”
I posted this as the Ides of Mars, and the old adage “Rome wasn’t built in a day” comes to mind. It seems, very tragically, neither was Miami with this devastating accident.
Sending love, sincere thoughts and prayers to the families, friends and colleagues of all those lost, injured or somehow otherwise affected by today’s event!
